What are host duties?
Invite guests by forwarding the email invitation UP will send you with a brief personal message.
Communicate with UP and your guests to confirm they purchased their ticket by June 29th.
On the day of the event, welcome your guests to your Zoom room and keep the conversation engaging until the program starts.
Will UP staff be available to help me?
Yes, UP staff will be available to help you before, during and after the event. UP will provide invitations, reminders to purchase tickets, technical support before and during the event, and donation processing troubleshooting.
What does it take to be a good Host?
All you need is passion for United Policyholders, some time to contact potential guests, and a willingness to engage people during the pre-program happy half-hour party on Zoom.
Will you help me invite guests?
Yes, you will receive an email invitation with links for your guests to purchase tickets and join your Zoom room.
What technology will I be required to know?
The evening will begin in your Zoom room, where you will host as your guests chat and start the evening. UP will set up a practice session with you in Zoom and can help you set up your account if you do not already have one. The program itself will be on YouTube Live, which doesn’t require any special access.
How do I switch to the program?
Everyone will switch over to YouTube Live either by clicking on a link from their email invitation or directly in Zoom. The Zoom link will be entered in the chat messages for everyone to see right before the program is scheduled to begin.
